David Webbe is a Partner, Managing Director, Global Head of Investment Banking and Private Equity based in the Singapore office of Global Sage. David leads the global practice and also has responsibility for the South East Asia region. He is a highly experienced search professional with a keen understanding of the banking industry as well as executives’ strengths and capabilities. He also has extensive experience in private equity deal decision-making and the skills required from professionals to secure the best returns for investors. He joined Global Sage after five years at Korn Ferry, where he was Senior Client Partner and Head of Global Financial Services for South East Asia.

Previously, David was a Managing Director of Webbe International, a boutique financial services search firm in Singapore. He played a key role in the development of the business when he moved to Asia in 2002. He has been consistently ranked as a leading professional in the field, achieving a No. 2 ranking in 2006, in the AsiaMoney Headhunters Poll for the investment banking category. David holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from the University of Kent, Canterbury.

Linus Choi has extensive search experience in Emerging Markets Financial Services. He has participated in and completed front office mandates (sales, trading, research, portfolio management and risk) in the HK/China markets and in multiple asset classes, such as equities, credit, and rates. Prior to joining Global Sage, Linus spearheaded the research and execution function for Novo, a boutique financial services search firm focused on emerging markets front office recruitment. Sophia Yan is a seasoned executive search professional of 17 years, with a proven track record of recruiting business-leading senior executives.

Sophia was part of the team that successfully placed CEOs for the Hong Kong Exchange and the Securities and Futures Commission. She has led the recruitment of CEO/COO roles for several leading trade associations and NGOs in Hong Kong and also successfully hired for financial institutions including asset management firms, private equity, investment banks, and REITs.

Sophia started her career as a journalist with the Financial Times, London, and then moved to Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Securities as an institutional saleswoman in Hong Kong & China equities. Following this, she was an Executive Director at Yue Xiu Property Group (stock code:123), a mainland Chinese company listed in Hong Kong where she oversaw capital market transactions and investor relations.
