Douglas G. Mann is a Managing Director based in the Los Angeles office of Global Sage. Douglas brings over 21 years of experience working within the executive search industry focused on leading and executing assignments in all sectors of the insurance industry and across all functions, including engagements for clients within the Property and Casualty, Life/Annuity, Reinsurance, and Health insurance sectors.

In addition to working with large established Insurance organizations, Douglas has also worked with start-up and early-stage companies, assisting in the development and execution of their talent acquisition initiatives.  He is leading the development of a high-touch global insurance industry practice for Global Sage in the U.S. market, leveraging the firm’s deep relationships across the insurance/FS sector to build a robust capability. The capacity to dive down deep and work broadly for client organizations comes from Doug’s long-term experience and primary focus on the insurance sector.

Prior to joining Global Sage, Douglas had operated his own firm for five years and he was also a Partner in the Global Insurance Practice with The Caldwell Partners. He started his executive search career with TMP Worldwide Executive Search, which was later spun off as Highland Partners, now part of Heidrick & Struggles. Douglas holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration from St. John’s University.

Fung Mei Yip is a Partner, Managing Director of Insurance and Regional HR Practice Leader based in the Hong Kong office of Global Sage. Fung Mei brings over 26 years of experience in human resources management, talent acquisition, executive recruitment and talent management. Previously, she worked with Prudential Corporation Asia as Head of Strategic Resourcing, where she was responsible for executive search and talent assessment for both the insurance and asset management businesses across the region. Prior to that, Fung Mei was with Royal Bank of Scotland as Head of Resourcing, North Asia. She also held senior HR/staffing roles at Agilent Technologies and Motorola. Earlier in her career she worked as a management consultant with PwC. Fung Mei holds a degree in Business Studies from the University of Liverpool.

Ati Simatupang is a Partner, Managing Director based in the Jakarta office of Global Sage. She brings over 22 years of experience in executive search. Prior to joining Global Sage, Ati was one of the founding members of Bo Le Associates, with her last position as Chief Client Officer of Southeast Asia. In this role, she was involved in the opening of each office within Southeast Asia for the firm. She has developed a solid knowledge of the Southeast Asian market with its dynamic, culturally diverse talent pool, and complex organization changes unique to emerging markets. She has travelled frequently to visit and develop client relations in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Bangkok, Singapore, Vietnam and Myanmar. Itaru Kamiya is a Senior Director for the Global Insurance Practice of Global Sage, based out of Tokyo. Itaru brings over 35 years of experience working in the insurance industry spanning domestic and international sales, marketing, risk management, compliance as well as management. As a member of Global Sage’s growing Global Insurance Practice, he serves a cross section of clients including InsurTech. His wealth of experience and problem-solving skills, along with his client-centric approach, have been highly regarded by his industry peers. Before joining Global Sage, he was a member of the Management Steering Committee at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty Japan.

Mava Chan focuses on the recruitment of senior professionals in the insurance, asset management, financial services, InsurTech / Fintech and human resources space. She was previously with Bo Le Associates, focused on placing Asia-based asset management and M&A professionals.

Before joining the executive search industry, Mava worked for 10 years as an investment consultant for sizable brokerage firms in Hong Kong. She has extensive experience in wealth management products including equities, derivatives and insurance. She also hosted an online financial radio program and contributed investment articles in leading financial journals. Prior to that, she was a marketing professional in the exhibition and publishing industry covering the Hong Kong and China markets.

An accountancy graduate, Jeffrey Ang started his career in internal audit, and subsequently decided to move towards an unconventional career in recruitment. He is currently a key member of Global Sage’s growing insurance practice.

Toshio Wada is a Senior Advisor in the Tokyo office of Global Sage. Toshio’s diversified career experience spans three parts: The first twenty years in commercial and investment banking at Morgan Stanley and Industrial Bank of Japan; the second fifteen years in asset management at Pension Fund Association and BNP Paribas Investment Partners; and a third leg of five years in startup management in the capacity of CEO Japan of a blockchain company and CFO of a battery R&D venture. Toshio brings a wealth of industry knowledge as well as a vast professional network of people to the firm. He holds a BA in Economics from Keio University and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. He speaks fluent English, French, and Japanese.
